Nomination Committee Now Accepting Nominations and Applications - Be part of CIRA's Board of Directors
Ottawa, May 14, 2009 - The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) Nomination Committee is seeking dynamic individuals with an interest in managing the future of Canada's Internet presence. This marks the official lanuch of CIRA’s ninth Board of Directors Election.
CIRA’s Nomination Committee is seeking individuals from public, private, and not-for-profit sector organizations to fill three vacant Board Director seats. By serving on the CIRA Board or Directors, you will define the strategic direction of CIRA and contribute to Canadian Internet policy by setting the policies that support Canada's Internet community and users. Your voice will help shape the future of the Internet in Canada!
Who Should Apply ?
- Executives and/or Professionals at Technology and Internet organizations with an interest or mandate related to the Internet and its role in Canada.
- Executives and/or Professionals working in various industry sectors such as : Education, Accounting, Law, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, and Technology.
- Engaged Canadians with an interest, either personal or professional, in the Interent and its role in Canada.
- Women in Technology.
Term
Members of CIRA’s Board of Directors hold three-year terms.
Compensation
Members of CIRA’s Board of Directors are compensated and reimbursed for reasonable expenses they incur while performing their duties as directors.
Submit your Nominations and Applications
Nominations are being accepted from noon (12:00h) EST on May 14, 2009 to 6:00 pm (18:00h) EST on June 12, 2009 at: https://elections.cira.ca/2009/en/nom_com_nominees.html.
Once nominated, Nominees will receive an email with a link to complete an online Nominee Application Form. The form must be completed and submitted by the Nominee before 8:00 pm (20:00h) EST on June 12, 2009.
